"Trumpet Player" and "Marine" were painted from my favorite model; my husband. The paintings are meant to project a purpose and a message through portraying the persona of the subject with lighting a key element. Irene studied at PAFA in Philadelphia, received Masters of Fine Art degree from East Carolina University and studied with prominent Portrait Artists. Recently Irene was honored by ECU as one of "One Hundred Extraordinary Women Alumni in One Hundred Years".
